Netflix has announced that season 3 of the drama series Beauty in Black will premiere on August 27, alongside the release of a number of first-look images from the new season. The announcement comes after the series was renewed for a fourth season, despite earlier reports that season 3 would be its last.
Created by Tyler Perry, the drama follows the lives of two women from very different backgrounds. Taylor Polidore Williams plays Kimmie, who is forced to make her own way after being kicked out by her mother. At the same time, Crystle Stewart portrays Mallory, a successful businesswoman whose life gradually becomes intertwined with Kimmie's.
During the second season, Kimmie takes on the Bellarie family, which operates a beauty empire while secretly running a human trafficking operation. Determined to rescue her kidnapped sister, she becomes one of the central figures in the family's growing conflict.
In the third season, Kimmie finally earns a seat at the Bellarie table, but a deadly family feud forces her into an uneasy alliance with Mallory. Together, they navigate a world of blackmail, revenge and long-buried secrets as a power struggle within the family threatens to bring down both their empire and those who control it.
The returning cast includes Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Julian Horton, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka, Charles Malik Whitfield and Debbi Morgan.
The ensemble cast also includes Bailey Tippen, Rodrigo Aburto, Randall J. Bacon, George Middlebrook, Greg Clarkson, Jasmine Burke, Aria Celeste Castillo, Gianmarco Duin, Philemon Chambers, Philip Boyd, Ty Anthony, Deeric Williams, Herb Magwood, Tre McBride, Kevin Savage, Jazmine Robinson, Kaja Brielle, Shay Mack, Steven Rho, Aaron Serotsky, Mikeal L. Dwayne Griggs, Sara Spadacene, D'kia Anderson, Antoine Williams, Ty Courtad, Raven Chambers, Michael Butler, Jillmarie Lawrence and Jim Braswell.
Netflix has also released several first-look images from the upcoming third season of Beauty in Black.
