  A Tribute of Appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON

On behalf of myself and my family, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, for the impact and support that have contributed to the growth of my journey over the years.

About 11 years ago, through the kindness and encouragement of his late son, DJ Olu, I was given an opportunity that changed the direction of my life. I was sponsored to learn tailoring, giving me not just a skill, but a foundation upon which I could build a future for myself.

His belief in me continued to mean a lot. Shortly after completing my university education in Ede, Osun State, I proceeded for the NYSC orientation programme in Sokoto State. My eventual redeployment to Ibadan gave me the opportunity to focus more on tailoring while also allowing me to move between Lagos, Ibadan and Lekki in search of brighter realities and greater opportunities.

That journey is an important part of my story — a story that has gradually become my reality. Looking back, I cannot ignore the role of God’s guidance and protection throughout the different stages of my life.

The late DJ Olu was also one of the first people to believe in my work. He patronized me, encouraged me and opened doors that introduced me to people within the Nigerian entertainment industry. Through those opportunities, I had the privilege of meeting and working around some of the biggest names in the industry, including Davido and many others.

Today, I look back with gratitude for every opportunity, every connection and every person who played a part in my journey. Some acts of kindness may appear small at the time, but their impact can remain with a person for many years.

This is not merely gratitude for what was done years ago. It is an appreciation of the lasting impact those opportunities had on my life and the journey they helped set in motion.

I remain deeply grateful for the encouragement, the belief and the opportunities that became part of my story.

May God continue to guide, protect and bless His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and his family. May the legacy of kindness, support and impact continue to live on. ❤️
