The Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser Tactical Team, has dismantled a Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist camp in Adamawa State.
The operation was carried out in the Kopre Mountain area of Hong Local Government Area of the state as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist activities and dismantle their operational bases.
The joint security operation reportedly targeted the camp believed to be used by members of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist groups.
The development is part of intensified counter-terrorism operations by Nigerian security forces aimed at denying terrorist groups safe havens and restricting their ability to operate in communities across the North-East.
The Nigerian Army and other security agencies have continued to conduct intelligence-led operations against terrorist groups, particularly in areas affected by insurgency.
