The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old woman, identified as Anulika Onyeanusia, over alleged involvement in child pornography in Onitsha.
The police also rescued four children during the operation, according to the command.
Onyeanusia was reportedly arrested by operatives following intelligence gathered on alleged activities involving the production or distribution of sexually exploitative material involving children.
The four children were rescued during the operation and have been taken into protective care as investigations continue.
The police said the suspect remains in custody while detectives work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged offence and determine whether other individuals may be connected to the case.
