Atiku arrived at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport at about 1pm, accompanied by members of his campaign team.

The campaign flag-off is scheduled to take place at the ADC state secretariat along Ilorin Road, Sokoto, as the party begins its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election.
Thousands of supporters had reportedly gathered at the secretariat and adjoining roads to welcome the former vice-president and participate in the campaign event.
The arrival comes amid political tension in the state, following allegations by the ADC that some government-backed groups were attempting to restrict movement and frustrate the party’s activities. The allegations have been made by party supporters, while details of the claims remain contested. <Cite refs={["turn147306search0","turn147306search5","turn147306search6"]}/>
