Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has been returned to custody by officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) after a brief administrative bail granted to allow him attend his mother’s burial.
El-Rufai had earlier appeared at both the Kaduna State High Court and the Federal High Court in Kaduna before being taken back into custody.
His bail application is currently before the Federal High Court, which has adjourned the matter to Wednesday for ruling.
The former governor is expected to know the outcome of his bail request at the next hearing, as legal proceedings continue.
