Nollywood actor, , has instituted legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission, , and Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, , over alleged breach of his personal data.
The suit, filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, is marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1272/2026 and was lodged on Monday, June 15.
In the originating summons, Ike is asking the court to determine whether the alleged unauthorized use and processing of his personal information does not constitute a violation of his right to privacy as guaranteed under Nigerian law.
He is also seeking damages in the sum of N10 billion for what he described as unlawful interference with his personal data and reputational harm.
As of the time of filing this report, neither INEC nor Lere Olayinka has issued an official response to the allegations.
