Former Ogun Governorship Candidate, Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni Kassim Elected Chairman of Nigerian Red Cross Society, Ogun State Branch

Former Ogun State Governorship Candidate, Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni Kassim, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Ogun State Branch, following a successful election held during the Society's 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Abeokuta on Saturday. She succeeds Dr. Ibrahim Jide Bello, whose tenure came to a successful conclusion. The Annual General Meeting brought together representatives from the National Headquarters, members of the Electoral Committee, branch executives, advisers, divisional coordinators, volunteers, partners, and other key stakeholders. The gathering provided an opportunity to review the branch's achievements over the past four years, assess its humanitarian impact, discuss strategic priorities for the future, and democratically elect a new leadership team to steer the affairs of the organisation.

Among the dignitaries and officials in attendance were the Coordinator of the Ado-Odo/Ota Division, Instructor Suraj Balogun; Branch Training Officer, Instructor Adeniyi Akinmade; Branch Disaster Management Officer, Instructor Fatai Aliu; Volunteer Coordinator, Mrs. Dorcas, alongside representatives of the National Headquarters, members of the Electoral Committee, branch advisers, divisional coordinators, volunteers, development partners, invited guests, and other stakeholders.

The election marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Ogun State Branch, with expectations of strengthened humanitarian service, enhanced community engagement, and sustained commitment to the core principles of the Nigerian Red Cross Society under the leadership of Chief (Dr.) Jackie Adunni Kassim.
