Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has spoken out after questions were raised about the appearance of her neck, firmly rejecting claims that it is linked to any health issue.
She explained that the conversation began after viewers started making assumptions, prompting her to set the record straight in a video message.
“I just want to tell you people that my neck is fat, as you can see. I like food a lot, I really do like food. I am not a goiter case, and it is not thyroid. Don’t project your future sickness on me. I am not sick.”
In her response, she pushed back against what she described as unnecessary speculation about personal health, saying people often read too much into physical features of public figures.
“Hello, I know some of you enjoy it when a celebrity comes online to say they are sick and starts asking for help. You people like hearing about sickness in popular people, but that is wicked and evil. Stay away from me. I do not have any sickness in my neck, and by the grace of God, anyone who wishes me that kind of sickness will go back to sender.”
She went on to say the shape of her neck runs in her family and is not unusual within her household, adding that it is a shared physical trait among several female relatives.
“As you can see my neck like this, it is natural. This is how my mother’s neck is, and this is how we are in my family. My daughter’s neck is the same too, even though she is still small. She is enjoying life. That is how almost all the women in my family are. We all carry it well. If you see my aunties, you will understand.”
The actress maintained that she is in good health and simply wanted to address the matter directly so there would be no ongoing misunderstanding.
