Former Minister Uche Nnaji Arrested Over Alleged Certificate Forgery.

Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja over allegations of certificate forgery.

According to airport sources, Nnaji was arrested shortly after arriving from Enugu aboard a chartered flight and is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission for further investigation.

The arrest follows an order by the Federal High Court in Abuja, which authorised the anti-corruption agency to arrest and declare the former minister wanted after he allegedly failed to honour several invitations for questioning.

The ICPC is investigating claims that Nnaji forged his academic certificates.

The commission says repeated efforts to secure his appearance were unsuccessful, prompting it to seek the court's approval for his arrest.

The ICPC has yet to issue an official statement on the arrest, while the former minister and his representatives have not publicly responded to the allegations.
