Political relationships and alliances have always played a significant role in shaping electoral outcomes and leadership dynamics. In many instances, cooperation among political actors contributes to success, while differences in interests and priorities can sometimes lead to changes in long-standing partnerships.
The political story involving Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara and Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada has become a subject of discussion among many stakeholders in Kosofe Federal Constituency. According to supporters and political observers, the emergence of Hon. Kafilat Ogbara as the representative of the constituency was strongly made possible in part by the support and influence of Princess Bada, who is the Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
Having previously belonged to the PDP before joining the APC, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara reportedly benefited from the efforts of Princess Bada, who introduced her to party leaders and grassroots members across the constituency. Many saw the partnership between the two women as an example of women supporting women and working together to achieve political success.
Their collaboration eventually paid off when Hon. Kafilat Ogbara secured the party's ticket and was elected to represent Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. To many supporters, it was a victory made possible by unity, trust, and the combined efforts of political allies who shared a common goal.
However, reports later emerged of a serious disagreement between the two leaders. What started as a misunderstanding reportedly developed into a public feud that generated concern among party members and residents of the constituency. Many who had celebrated their partnership were disappointed to witness the collapse of what once appeared to be a formidable political relationship.
During Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada's bid for another term as Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, allegations surfaced that Hon. Ogbara supported other aspirants seeking to unseat her. Despite these developments, Princess Bada was eventually re-elected, demonstrating her continued political strength and support base within the constituency.
As preparations began for another House of Representatives primary election, the political equation reportedly changed once again. Princess Samiat Bada threw her weight behind Mayor Dele Osinowo, the former Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, supporting him in much the same way she had previously supported Hon. Kafilat Ogbara. According to political observers, this support played a major role in his emergence as the party's flag bearer, leaving the incumbent lawmaker out of the race, a development that ultimately denied her the opportunity to secure a second term in the House of Representatives.
The developments surrounding Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara and Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada have attracted diverse opinions among supporters, party members, political observers, and residents of Kosofe Federal Constituency. While some interpret the events from the standpoint of political loyalty and personal relationships, others view them as part of the evolving realities of democratic competition.
As with many political episodes, perspectives differ, and the full implications of these developments may be assessed differently over time. Ultimately, it is left to observers and the public to evaluate the events and draw their own conclusions based on the information available to them.
