Isaac Fayose faults Adeleke for abandoning election victims’ families

Isaac Fayose has questioned the circumstances surrounding the de.aths recorded during the Osun election, saying those who lost their lives did so in support of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Fayose stated that the victims believed they were defending Adeleke against political forces they considered oppressive.

He said their sacrifice now raises questions, given the political alliances surrounding the governor and his family. In his recent post, he said:

“28 people died for Adeleke in Osun state, so they won’t take the state from him. The Adelekes now are with the oppressors they fought, those people just d!ed for nothing”.

His comments come against the backdrop of Adeleke’s recent political relationship with President Bola Tinubu. Adeleke has publicly endorsed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, saying the president represents the South-West and that supporting his re-election is in the region’s interest.

Adeleke has also met with Nyesom Wike in Abuja after a meeting with Tinubu, according to a reports.

His concern is that, people who d!ed believing they were standing with Adeleke against the political establishment may now see the governor and his family working with figures they once opposed.
