Relationship coach and Lead Pastor of David’s Christian Centre, Kingsley Okonkwo, has launched a Christian matchmaking platform designed to help singles seeking intentional, faith-based marriages.
The platform, known as Mentor To Marry, combines marriage preparation, mentoring and matchmaking for Christian singles who are serious about finding life partners.
Okonkwo announced the initiative in a series of social media posts, explaining that the platform was created against the backdrop of what he described as the increasing commercialisation of modern relationships.
He said many singles, particularly men, now face difficulties finding genuine partners because financial considerations have become a major factor in relationships.
However, the pastor stressed that the platform was not created on the assumption that women are primarily interested in money, saying there are many godly women looking for serious relationships.
Unlike conventional dating platforms, Mentor To Marry places mentoring before matchmaking. Members are required to undergo an eight-week mentoring programme, alongside assessments, surveys and guided reflection, before progressing through the matching process.
The platform offers three main annual membership categories.
The Regular package costs N70,000 and includes eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments, limited profile access, accountability support, and access to a country-based matching pool.
The Premium package costs N350,000 and comes with additional features, including broader profile access, priority access to coaches, profile recommendations, and membership of private groups.
The VIP package, which costs N700,000 annually, offers the highest level of support, including a dedicated matchmaker and coach, priority access to Okonkwo and other coaches, unlimited profile browsing and access to global profiles.
According to the platform, membership does not guarantee that a user will find a partner or get married. Instead, the focus is on preparing singles for marriage while providing a structured environment for meeting other Christian singles.
The launch has generated significant attention online, particularly over the cost of the top-tier N700,000 membership, with social media users expressing different views about the pricing and concept.
Mentor To Marry also provides a free singles community for Christians who are interested in marriage but are not ready to subscribe to one of the paid membership plans.
